I have celiacs and the restaurant owner was very informed on gluten free cooking. Not only that but she went over which menu items were safe, her kitchen practices etc. the food was fantastic, and flavor wise I could not tell the difference. There are very few Chinese food locations for celiacs/gf people to eat at and this was one of few places where the owners knowledge made me feel comfortable. I could not have been happier with the food, we ordered general tso, chicken fried rice, and dumplings. The chicken fried rice had nice real vegetables and pieces of chicken, the general tsos was tasty, fresh, and delicious, and the dumplings were juicy and packed with flavor. This is a restaurant I will be returning to, as my belly is still feeling great! Don’t miss out.

Stopped in on a drive through the area, many to choose from but chose here as it had a menu listed! Wanted no frills New England Chinese food and they delivered wonderfully. Greeted by a great gentleman and young lady who ran the show. Food was hot and prompt and correct. Portions were great, chicken wings and platter perfect. Locals are fortunate to have and if traveling through it’s an easy stop - will repeat, shine on~
absolutely delicious, came here midafternoon and had a lovely quiet lunch. we got the szechuan beef and the veggie fried rice and both were delicious - the grilled zucchini in the fried rice was cooked perfectly! there was also some lovely tea, and now i know where i can go for sesame balls since the last place i knew closed!
This place has the best Chinese food! The owner is the sweetest woman and is so kind to my kids every time we walk in the door! We were in a rush yesterday in between soccer games and we were in and out of the doors within 30 mins. I swear our wonton soup came to our table within 2 mins of ordering and our meals within 5 mins after that! The food has soooo much flavor and is always hot. Thank you!
For the past few years, they seemed to be mostly take out. I was glad to be able to dine in there today, even if I was the only one. Take out service remained brisk though. I liked that they had 2 menus to choose from. I often choose from their gourmet menu. My go-to dish was always their steamed chicken, which is close to the Hainanise style ginger dish I grew up with. Today, being a wet and soggy rainy day , it only seemed appropriate to have a hot pot. The simple Chinese broccoli adds a bit of crunch to my meal. Savory and delicious.
Under NEW OWNERSHIP and WORTH a revisit. They painted and cleaned up the eating area. I’m sure they’ll improve the lighting as business picks up but I was enthralled at how they fixed up the eating area already. The food was good - I had boiled dumplings which I found quite tasty. The spring was good and my life had Moo Goo Gai Pan which she loved. The NEW OWNERS, Fang & Gary, were excited to have us. They were quite friendly and wanted our opinions on the dishes they served us. Phoenix (17) and Gabriel (15) were also very welcoming and warm. They did their jobs well. Food is very good. The owner is very nice and shows she really cares about the quality of their food. Large menu. The dried noodles given for appetizer are home made. Lite and crispy. The best I’ve ever had. I was very pleased with the food I ordered. Will definately be returning. Prices are reasonable. They have lunch and dinner specials.
Great Wall Restaurant serves some of the best chinese food you'll find in western mass. It's not oily, overly sugared, nor full of MSG. The Great Wall was recently sold, and the new owner has maintained the quality of cuisine and some of the old menu and recipes. I recommend Chicken Chow Mein, Shrimp with cashew nuts, and their creamy Crab Rangoons, which are made out of the finest ingredients. The interior of the restaurant has been repainted with brighter colors, and the new staff is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to returning to try other dishes.
